Sarah Furuya is an executive and life coach born in Liverpool, educated in Birmingham and has been living in Japan since 2001. She coaches English-speaking international clients.Since 2005 she has been coaching, training and facilitating in Tokyo, cutting her teeth at Microsoft and working with many domestic and international companies and clients in SE Asia, UK and online all around the globe. She holds a BSc hons in Human Psychology and Human Biology, is a trained ORSC™ Coach, certified practitioner in Lumina Spark and Saville Wave Psychometrics. 

She is a visiting lecturer at Temple University Japan running coaching and psychometric programmes, is the coach on the Ordinary Magic writing programme, the Lighthouse Circle Grief support group, and Saunter and Frolic Retreats. 

She is an active member of the Tokyo Business community, was president of FEW Japan; a women's professional networking organisation 2011-2013, served on the Executive Committee of the British Chamber of Commerce Japan 2021-2022, and sits on the Board of Directors of Refugee Empowerment International NPO. She loves sustainable style and conscious consumption and runs one of Tokyo's largest clothing exchanges. She lives in the hills by the sea South of Tokyo and enjoys beach life.
